What Is Account Basics?
Account Basics encompasses the fundamental actions required to maintain your presence on Soppiya. It acts as the central hub for your identity on the platform.

1. Creating an Account
Creating a Soppiya account is the first step to managing your stores, accessing Soppiya apps, and configuring your profile settings. Follow the steps below to register successfully.
Step 1: Check Availability
Soppiya uses a single entry point for both logging in and signing up.
- Navigate to the Soppiya Login page.
- Email: In the "Welcome back" screen, enter your valid email address.
- Click the Continue with email button.
The system will automatically check if an account already exists. If the email is new, you will be automatically redirected to the Create an account page.
Step 2: Provide Personal Details
On the registration page, complete the required fields.
- First name: Enter your first name.
- Last name: Enter your last name.
- Password: Create a strong and secure password.
- Tip: Click the icon to reveal your password characters.
** RECOMMENDED PASSWORD CRITERIA**
To ensure account security, your password should meet the following:
- At least 8 characters in length.
- A mix of uppercase (A–Z) and lowercase (a–z) letters.
- Includes numbers (0–9) and special characters (e.g., ! @ # $).
Step 3: Complete Registration
- Review your details. (Click Change email if you noticed a typo in the previous step).
- Click the Create button.
- Upon success, you will be redirected to your dashboard.
You will see an alert message at the top of your profile: "You may lose account access. Verify email now!"

2. Logging In
Soppiya offers multiple secure and convenient methods for users to access their accounts. Whether you prefer traditional authentication with an email and password, seamless login through your Google account, or the modern passwordless approach using a passkey, Soppiya ensures that each method is designed with both security and usability in mind.

The standard login method using your registered credentials.
- Navigate to the Soppiya Login Page.
- Email: Enter your address and click Continue with email.
- Password: Enter your password.
- Tip: Click the icon to reveal your password characters.
- Check Keep me logged in if you want to remain logged in on this device (optional).

Sign in using your existing Google account for a fast, passwordless experience.
- Navigate to the Soppiya Login Page.
- Click the Continue with Google button at the bottom of the form.
- Select your Google account in the pop-up window and authorize the login.
Ensure you select the Google account associated with your Soppiya profile. You do not need a separate Soppiya password for this method.
A modern passwordless method using your device's security (Fingerprint, FaceID, or PIN).
- Navigate to the Soppiya Login Page.
- Click the Sign in with passkey button.
- Authenticate using your device's prompt (e.g., TouchID or Windows Hello).
You must have previously set up a passkey for your account via Profile → PassKeys.
3. Profile Management
After creating your account, you will land on the Profile Basics page. It is highly recommended to complete these immediate actions.
Manage Personal Details
From this dashboard, you can:
- Update Info: Edit your First Name and Last Name.
- Profile Picture: Upload or change your avatar by clicking the Edit button.
Set Preferences
Customize how the Soppiya dashboard functions for you personally.
- Language: Choose your preferred interface language (e.g., English).
- Timezone: Set your local timezone (e.g., Asia/Dhaka) to ensure order times and logs appear correctly.
These settings only affect your personal dashboard view. They do not change how customers view your store or how store hours are calculated.
4. Account Recovery
If you forget your password or cannot access your Soppiya account, use the Forgot Password option.
Steps to Reset Your Password
- Initiate: Go to the Login page, enter your email, and click Continue with email.
- Request: On the password screen, click the blue Forgot password? link.
- Confirm: Click the black Send reset email button.
- Verify: Open your email inbox and find the email with subject: "Soppiya password reset".
- Tip: Check Spam/Junk folders if not found within 1 minute.
- Reset: Click the Reset password button inside the email.
- Create: Enter your new password on the secure page and confirm it.
The reset link inside the email expires in 10 days. If you do not use it within this timeframe, you must request a new link.
Notes & Tips
- Check Spam: If the email doesn't appear in 1 minute, check your Spam/Junk folder.
- Alternative: If you have a Passkey or linked Google Account, you can use those to log in without resetting your password.
Troubleshooting
"You may lose account access" error
Possible causes:
- You haven't verified your email address yet
Solution:
- Look for the banner at the top of your Profile page
- Click Verify email now!
- Check your inbox and click the verification link
- Refresh the page — the banner should disappear
I can't upload a profile picture
Possible causes:
- File size is too large or unsupported format
Solution:
- Ensure image is JPG or PNG
- Try resizing the image to below 2MB
- Try a different browser if the upload button is unresponsive
My dashboard time is wrong
Possible causes:
- Profile timezone is set incorrectly (default might be UTC)
Solution:
- Go to Profile > Preferences
- Change the Timezone to your local region (e.g., Asia/Dhaka)
- Save changes
