What Is Account Login?
Account Login is the gateway to your Soppiya dashboard. It verifies your identity so you can securely manage your store, products, and settings. Soppiya supports three primary methods:
- Email & Password - The traditional standard method
- Google Login - One-click access using your existing Google account
- Passkey - Modern, passwordless login using biometrics (Fingerprint/FaceID)
We recommend setting up a Passkey. It's faster than typing a password and more secure against phishing attacks.
Quick Start Guide
To access your account quickly:
- Go to the Login Page — Navigate to
accounts.soppiya.com - Enter your email — This identifies your account
- Choose your method:
- Password: Enter your password
- Google: Click "Continue with Google"
- Passkey: Click "Sign in with passkey" and scan your fingerprint
- Success — You will be redirected to your dashboard
For detailed instructions on each method, continue reading below.
Method A: Log In with Email & Password
This is the standard login method where users enter their registered email address and password.
Steps:
- Navigate to the Soppiya Login Page.
- Under the "Welcome back" header, enter your registered Email address.
- Click the black Continue with email button.
- The screen will update to the Password entry stage.
- Enter your Password.
- Tip: Click the "Eye" icon inside the field to reveal your password characters.
- Select the Keep me logged in checkbox if you wish to remain logged in on this device (Optional).
- Click Log in.
Notes & Tips:
- Wrong Email? If you entered the wrong email address in step 2, click the Change email link next to your email address on the password screen.
- Forgot Password? If you cannot remember your credentials, click the blue Forgot password? link located below the password field to initiate a reset.
Method B: Log In with Google
Users can sign in using their existing Google account for a fast, passwordless experience.
Steps:
- Navigate to the Soppiya Login Page.
- Locate the secondary options at the bottom of the form.
- Click the Continue with Google button.
- A pop-up window will appear. Select your Google account and authorize the login.
- Once successful, you will be automatically redirected to your profile dashboard.
Notes & Tips:
- Ensure you are selecting the Google account that is associated with your Soppiya profile.
- This method relies on your Google credentials, so you do not need to memorize a separate Soppiya password.
Method C: Log In with a Passkey
Passkeys are a modern, passwordless authentication method that allows you to log in securely using your device's built-in security features (Biometrics or PIN).
Steps:
- Navigate to the Soppiya Login Page.
- Click the Sign in with passkey button.
- Your browser or operating system will prompt you to authenticate. Depending on your device, perform one of the following:
- Scan your fingerprint (TouchID / Android Fingerprint).
- Use Facial Recognition (FaceID / Windows Hello).
- Enter your Device PIN/Password (The code used to unlock your computer or phone).
- Once authentication is verified, you will be logged in automatically.
Important Notes:
- Prerequisite: You must have previously set up a passkey for your account. If you see an error or cannot log in, use Method A (Email & Password) to log in first.
- Setup: To create a passkey, log in to your account and navigate to Profile > PassKeys > Add this Device.
- Device Access: Passkeys are stored locally on your device or cloud keychain (e.g., iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager). Ensure you are using a trusted device.
Real World Examples
Example 1: Mobile Store Management
Scenario: A store owner checks orders on their phone while commuting.
Best Method: Passkey (FaceID/Fingerprint)
- No need to type a long password on a small keyboard
- Instant access with biometric scan
- Highly secure even in public places (no one can "shoulder surf" your password)
Example 2: Shared Office Computer
Scenario: Logging in from a shared computer at a warehouse.
Best Method: Email & Password + Uncheck "Keep me logged in"
- Prevents the next user from automatically accessing the account
- Google Login might be risky if you forget to sign out of Google
- Passkey might not be available on a shared public machine
Troubleshooting
"Incorrect password" error
Possible causes:
- Caps Lock is on
- Typo in the password
Solution:
- Click the Eye icon to reveal and check the password characters
- Reset your password using the "Forgot password?" link if the issue persists
Google Login creates a new account instead of logging in
Possible causes:
- Your Google email is different from your registered Soppiya email
Solution:
- Ensure your Google email matches your Soppiya account email exactly
- If they are different, log in with Email & Password, then add the Google email as a secondary email in your Profile settings
Passkey isn't working
Possible causes:
- You are on a different device than the one you set up the passkey on
- Bluetooth is off (sometimes required for phone-to-computer passkeys)
Solution:
- Use Method A (Email & Password) to log in
- Go to Profile > PassKeys and add the current device as a new passkey
If you're still locked out, try resetting your password or contact Soppiya support.
Best Practices
Login Security Best Practices
Security
- Use Passkeys — they are phishing-resistant and easier to use than passwords
- Enable 2FA — add strict two-factor authentication for sensitive accounts
- Never share passwords — create separate accounts for staff members
Convenience
- Link Google Account — keeps you from forgetting yet another password
- Use "Keep me logged in" — only on your private, personal devices
- Log out on public computers — always sign out when using a shared device
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- ❌ Using "123456" or "password" as your password
- ❌ Saving passwords in a public browser
- ❌ Leaving your account logged in on a cafe or library computer
Summary
Logging in is your secure gateway to the Soppiya platform. You can choose the method that best fits your device and security needs.
Key takeaways:
- Email & Password: The universal standard; secure but requires memory.
- Google Login: Fast and passwordless; requires a Google account.
- Passkey: The most secure and modern method; uses biometrics.
- Always ensure you are on the correct site (
accounts.soppiya.com) before entering credentials. - Use the "Forgot password?" link if you get locked out.
If you haven't already, try setting up a Passkey next time you log in — it changes the login experience from typing to a simple touch or glance.
