Locations

The Locations settings are the operational heart of your supply chain. This section allows you to manage every physical place where you stock inventory, fulfill orders, and sell products.

Whether you operate from a single home office or manage multiple warehouses and retail outlets, keeping this list accurate ensures that shipping rates and inventory counts remain precise.

Locations Overview

The main screen provides a high-level snapshot of your fulfillment network.

  • Plan Usage: At the top of the page (e.g., Using 1 of 1000 locations), a counter tracks your current usage against the limit allowed by your subscription plan.

  • Location Cards: Your active locations are displayed as individual cards. Each card contains:

    • Icon: Visual indicator of a physical site.
    • Name: The internal identifier (e.g., Rangpur).
    • Address Preview: The specific street address is listed directly below the name, helping you distinguish between locations in the same city.
  • Default Badge: A grey Default badge appears on the right side of one location. This indicates the primary hub used for inventory syncing and app integrations.

Adding a New Location

To add a new warehouse, retail store, or dropshipping origin:

  1. Click the Add Location button in the top right corner.
  2. Complete the three sections detailed below.

1. Location Name

  • Input Field: Give this location a short, descriptive name (e.g., Main Warehouse or Motijheel Branch).
    Customer Visibility

This name is primarily for your internal use. However, if you enable "Local Pickup" for this location, customers will see this name at checkout.

2. Address & Contact

  • Country/region: Select the country from the dropdown menu.
  • Address: Enter the primary street address (e.g., 123 Main Street).
  • Apartment, suite, etc: (Optional) Enter unit numbers, floors, or building names.
  • City: Enter the city or town name.
  • Postal code: Enter the specific zip or postal code.
  • Phone: Select the country flag and enter the contact number for this facility.
  • Email: Enter the operational email address for this location.

3. Fulfillment Settings

Located at the bottom section, this setting controls whether the stock at this location is purchasable on your storefront.

  • Use this location to fulfill online orders:
    • Checked: Inventory at this location is available for sale on your website.
    • Unchecked: Inventory is tracked here but is excluded from online sales.
When to disable this?

Uncheck this box for locations used for damaged goods, pending returns, or overflow stock that you are not ready to sell yet.

Click Save to apply changes.

Changing the Default Location

Your Default Location is the priority hub. If a third-party app adds inventory without specifying a location, it is automatically assigned here.

  1. Click the Change default location button (located above the list).
  2. Select the desired location from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Save.
Logic Constraint

You can only select a location that has "Fulfill online orders" enabled. If a location is set to storage-only (unchecked), it cannot be designated as your Default.

Managing Locations

Editing a Location

Click on any location card (e.g., Motijheel) to open its details.

  • Update Info: Modify the address, phone number, or email.
  • Deactivate Sales: Uncheck the Fulfill online orders box to stop routing new online orders to this site.

Deleting a Location

If you close a physical store or move warehouses:

  1. Open the location details page.
  2. Scroll to the bottom right.
  3. Click the Delete location button.
  4. Confirm the action in the pop-up modal.
Irreversible Action & Rules
  • The Rule: You cannot delete the location currently marked as Default.
  • The Fix: You must first assign the Default status to a different location. Once that is done, the Delete button will become available for the old location.

Best Practices

  • Naming: Use distinct names (e.g., "North Depot" vs. "South Store") to prevent staff confusion when routing orders.
  • Privacy: If you run your business from home, remember that the Location Name becomes visible during Local Pickup. Consider using a brand name instead of "My House."
  • Accuracy: Only enable Fulfill online orders if you actually have staff at that location ready to pack and ship boxes.
